In this year’s edition of the competition “Rising Stars Lawyers – the Leaders of Tomorrow”, Mr. Maciej Durbas, attorney-at-law, was one of the three youngest laureates, occupying 25th place in the group of the most promising lawyers in Europe. Candidates of the prestigious competition organised by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Wolters Kluwer were assessed according to several criteria. The most appreciated ones were innovativeness, creativity, and an ability to intuit new market trends, but also knowledge – preferably extended in the frames of scholarly activities. Presented credentials and opinions as well as the extent of pro bono involvement were valued particularly high. The members of the competition jury included, among others, Jadwiga Sztabińska, the editor-in-chief of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna; Andrzej Zwara, the President of the Polish Bar Council; Dariusz Sałajewski, the President of the National Council of Legal Advisers; Waldemar Koper, the President of the Polish Company Lawyers Association, and Marcin Radwan-Röhrenschef, a Member of the Council of the Polish Association of Legal Employers.
