The main aim of the Program is strengthening peace and understanding through an educational exchange between the US and other countries. At present, the Program operates in over 155 countries, and from its beginning, over 325 thousand fellows from all over the world have taken advantage of this educational exchange. Over 8 thousand scholarships are granted every year. The Fulbright Program has been present in Poland since 1959.
