On May 15, the University of Economics in Katowice hosted the inaugural meeting of stakeholders in the 4NEW project. The event was attended by representatives from government, academia, and the business community, and KKG Legal was represented by Kamil Zawicki and Joanna Kosiniak.
The 4NEW project, carried out by a consortium comprising the Silesian University of Technology, the Ministry of Energy, the National Center for Nuclear Research, and the University of Economics in Katowice, focuses on one of the key challenges related to the development of nuclear energy in Poland—training personnel for a sector that will continue to grow over the coming decades.
During a seminar on economic and legal competencies in the nuclear energy sector, participants discussed the importance of adequate expert support, efficient institutions, and a well-developed regulatory framework. During the discussions, it was emphasized that the success of the nuclear program depends not only on the completion of investments and the implementation of new technologies, but also on the availability of specialized knowledge and cooperation between government, academia, and the business sector.
Our participation in the meeting is part of KKG Legal’s commitment to projects related to energy transition, nuclear energy, and the legal framework for the development of new technologies in the energy sector.
We would like to thank the organizers and participants for the valuable exchange of experiences and discussions about the challenges facing the Polish nuclear sector.
