On May 16, as part of the postgraduate program “Restructuring and Bankruptcy Law” at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University, classes were taught by Katarzyna Kostępska, attorney-at-law, a partner and head of the Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice at KKG Legal, and Grzegorz Pokrzywka, LL.M., attorney-at-law, Leader of the Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice at KKG Legal.
Katarzyna Kostępska, attorney-at-law, discussed the creditor’s position in insolvency proceedings, including the creditor’s rights, potential influence on the course of the proceedings, and mechanisms for protecting the creditor’s interests. The session focused on the importance of a creditor taking an active and informed role in restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings.
Grzegorz Pokrzywka, attorney-at-law, gave a lecture on the sale of a debtor’s assets in restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings. During the meeting, he discussed various sales models, their effects, and their significance for the pace of the proceedings, the level of satisfaction among creditors, and the security of the entire process.
This is not the end of KKG Legal experts' participation in the program. The next sessions will be held in person, which will provide additional opportunities for discussion with participants and for addressing issues that arise during restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings.
The postgraduate program at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University combines academic knowledge with practical experience, preparing students to deal with complex issues in restructuring and bankruptcy law.
