Attorney at law. An expert in the field of Polish, comparative, European, and international company law. He is also interested in capital market law, economic analysis of law, European commercial law and international trade law. He has extensive experience in several fields of activities: academic research, academic lecturing, social involvement, management positions, legal consultancy, journalist activities and holding public functions.

He is the President of the Allerhand Institute and the Director of European Centre for Comparative Commercial and Company law, and the editor in chief of the HUK Law Quarterly for the Entire Commercial, Bankruptcy, and Capital Market Law. He is a European Commission consultant in The public hearing on the topic of future plan of action priorities in the scope of the modernization of company law and strengthening of corporate governance in the European Union. He chaired the 10+ Group, an assembly of lawyers and economists from Central and Eastern Europe, taking a stance in the matter of EU Council draft regulations on The European Private Company Statue. A business expert at the Sobieski Institute, the Chairman of the Actio Pro Socio Work Group preparing the guidelines (discussion project) for the Polish company law reforms (in cooperation with the Warsaw Stock Exchange). Chairman of the European Commission's project entitled: Assessment of approximation level of the present company, corporate governance, accounting and auditing legislation and existing practices in Ukraine to EU standards and practices.

Graduate of several universities, laureate of numerous awards, recipient of many scholarships and research visits including in New York, Bonn, Cologne, Copenhagen, Florence and Ghent. Laureate of the 'Business Young' ranking conducted by Home&Market magazine (2008). Two time laureate (2013, 2015) of the Gazeta Prawna daily competition: "50 most influential lawyers in Poland".
