On 21 October, the University of Warsaw hosted the first Polish presentation of the book Collective Litigation in Europe: Law and Practice.
Published by JURIS Legal Information and edited by Mary Bartkus, Magdalena Tulibacka, István Varga, and Stefaan Voet, this extensive compendium covers collective litigation mechanisms across 33 European and several non-European jurisdictions.
The event featured the authors of the Polish chapter – Agnieszka Trzaska-Śmieszek, partner at KKG Legal, Dr. Magdalena Tulibacka together with Prof. Jagna Mucha – who discussed the key challenges and directions for the development of the Polish collective litigation system.
Dr. Tulibacka provided an overview of the publication, and Stefaan Voet presented the latest book of Prof. Mucha “Consumer Collective Redress in EU Law – Lessons from the Polish Legal System” and addressed current European trends.
The event was hosted by the Chair of Transnational Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration UW and organised in partnership with KKG Legal.
